As we were standing in the hotel lobby, getting ready to leave Kumasi.
Peter Van Den Berg came down to check out. We started to talk with Peter,
and share our amazement, at being able to attend this great campaign. Peter then said something that made Rachel and I reflect. “What was the purpose of you being here?” “You need to consider this”.
What was the reason God had led us here? Certainly it was to restore us. We’d been invited by a few Kumasi church leaders, to come back to help disciple and teach. Which we both will pray about and hope to follow up. I also remember Reinhard Bonnke saying to the SOE students in London “Get your own platform”, after several of the students (including me) cheekily stood on the Kensington Temple stage, posing for pictures. But Reinhard and Peter are spot on.
We can be inspired by others and what they are doing, leadership is biblical. We both have much respect for Daniel Kolenda, and the whole CfaN team. But after a week has passed and we take some rest. What next? Well for us it has become clearer. We must GO and follow the example we’ve seen, with Holy Spirit leading everything we do. Evangelism is preaching the wonderful Gospel, and seeing King Jesus impact the world around us. One thing is for sure. We will never be the same again. Thank you Jesus. Thank you CfaN, we love you and will keep you in our prayers.
