Arrival in Lagos

We arrived in Lagos yesterday morning, and after a delayed start set off on the journey in a police convoy to Ogbomoosho. We were fortunate to have some incredible drivers as we wound our way through the traffic, a very memorable journey! As we got closer to Ogbomosho, there were hundreds of people for miles lining the road in the dark cheering and waving as our convoy snaked past. There is a lot of excitement here for the crusade there are posters evrywhere we look! Due to the delay we arrived in Ogbomosho at about 9pm, just time for a quick meal, and find our beds, spiders but our resident spider is missing a leg so we should be fine!

We are here!!!

We are here...praise the Lord! Mostly everyone who was coming with us from the western side of the earth has arrived safely in Nigeria. Mr. Russell has been doing a great job keeping everyone together and getting us where we need to be. My wife and I had the chance to meet Ms. Carrie and Amanda the winners of the contest from Canada and they are awesome. It is very hot here but CFAN has taken very good care of us and things are moving along smoothly. I can feel the excitement in the air, even though most of us have just flown into the city we are excited to see what our Father is going to do this week in Ogbomosho.

Arrival in Lagos

After a night with little sleep – as usual before an adventurous journey – we boarded the train to Frankfurt at 7 pm. I was accompanied by Lars Kortkamp, as my wife had to stay at home to look after our small son. At the airport we met Herbert Fischer, Thomas Meyer, our travelling companion, Ilka Johnnie and a cameraman. I was interviewed briefly by Herbert – a strange sensation in the middle of the airport terminal. And then we were off – my first intercontinental flight. The plane had three rows of seats and a TV screen for each person. Now I had a chance to chat to Lars again. We had a six-hour flight ahead of us.
