Looking back on all four nights of the Greater Peace crusade, I am so pleased with all that I experienced and I am thankfully praising Jesus for the healings, miracles, and salvations won. Each night had a different focus, from the infilling of the Holy Spirit, breaking curses over the people and land, releasing blessings, etc. but the one thing that remained constant was that the gospel message was preached faithfully every night and people who needed healing were prayed over. Each night thousands were saved and received their healing! Praise The Lord!
I am so blessed by the crusade itself, seeing the huge crowds, the worship, healings, and salvations, but I am very blessed also to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the CfaN ministry works. Although I have watched many crusade clips on the internet, I never knew about the structure the crusades take and I feel that they are so strategically planned and executed with excellence. For such a huge production, there is a small number of people working behind the scenes and I am just blown away by how hard-working each of the team members are. It seems every member does a number of jobs, but every one of those tasks is done well. It is a very effective ministry… like a well-oiled machine.
One part that stood out to me and touched my heart was how they deal with prayer requests. I have filled out the prayer request portion of CfAN pamphlets before and assumed they would be read by one person, or just submitted to data entry. However, I have learned that the prayer requests are read and prayed for by the person who opens the mail, by the office team twice a week at meetings, and then, they are flown to the crusade where they are put together on the stage and prayed for by Daniel Kolenda and all of the pastors and leaders from the region. My prayer requests have been taken seriously. This was a special part for me.
My heart is filled with mixed emotions as I sit in the hotel lobby awaiting my bus to the airport. I know now that I’m not just referred to as a “partner”, but that I really am a PARTNER in the wonderful work being done for the kingdom of God in Africa, and I am committed to praying and giving more fervently knowing how important a role I play in the work that is done here and around the world. I have been treated like an honoured guest and have so enjoyed every moment of my time here. Already, I’ve considered how my husband and I can begin saving a dollar here and there so that hopefully we can join this amazing for another crusade in the future (even if it takes a few years!).
Thank You God for this amazing, amazing opportunity and most precious birthday present! I am forever changed!
